About Our Saviour
Jesus Christ is Creator God (Colossians 1:16) and the Head of Camden Valley Bible Baptist Church (Colossians 1:18). We worship Him as God Who “was made flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1: 1, 14). He came to Earth as a man, to pay for the sins of all people (I John 2:2). All people are sinners (Romans 3:23) and without Christ are destined to eternal punishment in Hell. Through His Word, the Bible, Jesus Christ invites all to be saved from Hell through repentance (turning) from sin and having faith in His death, burial and resurrection from the dead. When a person, through repentance and faith, receives Jesus Christ as personal Saviour, the Spirit of Christ indwells the believer (Romans 8:9), and at that point the believer is promised eternal life. Hallelujah! What a Saviour!
About Our Pastor
Pastor Matt van Dijk was saved at 9 years of age. He trained in his own local church and has had the privilege of serving the Lord in various capacities, including the teaching ministries of Christian School as a Religious Studies and Science teacher, Sunday School for both youth and adults, Youth Group, Bible institute, teaching topical Biblical modules in the South Pacific Islands and Cambodia. He has a continuing special ministry in Vanuatu (Tanna Island), which he has continued to develop over the past 5 years. He served as an Assistant Pastor for over 10 years until the Lord called him to start Camden Valley Bible Baptist Church in 2023. He has been married to Tracy for 30 years, and they have three precious children, Grace (14), Elijah (12) and Elise (10)
